Our Board of Directors is a group of carefully selected people who have embraced the mission of Family Haven and oversee both Family Haven and Fontbonne Home.

Len sott
Len sottPresident
A graduate of Cleveland State University, Len is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Prior to his retirement, Len was Vice President and Director of Tax Exempt Organizations at Card, Palmer, Sibbison and Co for 42 years. Len is a member of the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants. He has been involved in many nonprofit organizations including Cornucopia. In his free time, Len likes to spends time with his family. Len is also an avid boater and is a member of St. Raphael Parish.
Barb Fabinak

A licensed social worker for more than 20 years, Barb has had experience working for profit and not for profit organizations. These included; nursing homes, a mental health agency and home care work. In her last position as a community liaison she was responsible for marketing and educational programs for doctors, hospitals, and mental health centers. For the past 20 years she has been involved in church teaching as a confirmation and bible study leader. Barb also served seven years as the volunteer coordinator at church for Interfaith Hospitality Network. She enjoys helping families learn how to develop their educational plans. Barb has served on the board of Family Haven since 2004.
Cathy Stanton

Cathy attended Miami University and Cleveland State University where she received a BA in Political Science. She retired from the Social Security Administration after 42 years of work in various capacities including Technical Expert, Lead Specialist, and District Manager. She is currently working part time at St. Raphael’s school. She has held office in several civic groups, has been a member of non profit fundraising organizations, and was actively involved in various committees at St. Raphael Parish particularly Social Concerns, Women’s Guild, and Parish Council. Cathy enjoys spending time with her family which includes a developmentally disabled son. She loves to read and has been a member of different book clubs for over 40 years. Retirement has allowed her to get back to former hobbies among them sewing, piano, and painting.
James Chriszt
James Chriszt
Jim Chriszt is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law. Jim is a member of numerous associations including the Ohio State Bar Association, the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association and the Estate Planning Council of Cleveland.
Jim counsels clients in the organization and reorganization of corporations, limited liability companies (LLCs) and partnerships and in federal and state tax planning and compliance. He helps clients plan, negotiate, and document mergers, acquisitions and restructurings. Jim is a member of St. Raphael Parish and is a member of the Finance Council. In his free time, he likes spending time with his grandchildren and family.
Louise Grant
Louise Grant
Louise Grant is a professional educator. She holds a Bachelor of Science from The Ohio State University and a Masters of Education from Ashland University. She also holds a certificate from the Institute of Advanced Montessori Studies in Washington, DC. She is a member of NEA and OEA,
a Jennings Scholar and Teacher of the Year, Fairview Park City Schools.
She is currently a member of the Family Haven Board of Directors and brings her expertise to help support individuals with disabilities.
David Schabel
David Schabel
David is a manager at SchabelTech, a diversified materials, technology and services company focused on developing unique and value-added solutions to meet customer objectives. Prior to joining SchabelTech, David was a Senior Project Manager at TMW Systems, and formerly he was a Senior Project Analyst at TOA Technologies, now a part of Oracle. David was also a Consultant in Deloitte Consulting’s Strategy and Operations practice specializing in its Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) practice. Outside of work, David enjoys outdoor sports, traveling, martial arts and reading. He also enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter.
